Perhaps you can create a glossary of terms that you use and a separate one that your customers use and then match them. Maybe then you'll find definitions that harmonize and eventually exceed expectations?
I'm betting that you can sell the pieces that were sent back -I'm sure one of your customers will love it. Always seems to work out that way. ;)
Feel better. It's an object lesson we all have to go through.
Hugs,

I have a lot of interests as well. The only way to become better is to keep working at them. I won't tell you to choose just one because I wouldn't be able to do that and it sounds like you wouldn't be able to either. But what I have learned to do is restrict myself to only taking up new interests that have a direct influence on my career.
For example, I really wanted to take up woodcarving, but didn't want it to be another hobby that took time away from everything else, so I forced myself to not start learning about it. Once we got the Orrery job though, woodcarving was a part of that, so I could buy the equipment and learn how to use it and directly help my career. Now I have the equipment and knowledge to use for future jobs that might require it. Am I a master at it? no, but it's past the "hobby" stage.
I would love to get into mountaincliming or scuba diving, but since they wouldn't further my main objective of being the type of artist I am, I make sure I don't allow myself to take them up. If there was a time in the future where I needed to scuba dive to be able to finish a certain artwork though, I certainly would do it and then I'd have that learned as well.
So I guess what you might want to do is focus on a whole theme and then you can work at all the various parts of that - like fashion photography. You would need to learn about fashion, you would need to learn about photography, so put them together. You won't be an overnight expert at any of them, but that's ok. You will have a unique view and skills that others don't.
I hope I've helped a little. Write back if you wish.
Peace,
Joy

Hi Lily,<br

I started googling: too many hobbies and this sort of things. I cant say I jump from one thing into other, I keep the old things too. And at the point it becomes too much, I kind of like it.But as I deeper start getting into hobby I start realizing that there are so many professionals and I know nothing about it. I start comparing myself to them.
For example started really getting into fashion, started readying style and fashion blogs realizing I need to learn a LOT and a LOT, then photography came along, so I started studying it too, taking pix, bought lenses. These are only my lates hobbies I'm talking abobut, I have dozens others. But I'm not perfect in any of them to say - I'm a professional. And I dont know which to pick to perfetionize it (dunno if I say it correctly, english is not my native), so to become professional.
Which I really do want. I want to become so good at something, but I'm just going into lots things, and I know its not the end, and I'm already 30!
So it really bums me out. Any advises would be helpful. thanks...

But even a little animosity is better than being completely alone. We lost four cats within a year too - it was heartbreaking. I certainly wasn't actively looking for more, but I just couldn't bear the thought of them being out in the wild. Too many dangers out here in the country. And it was good, because I found that one of them was extremely sick, the boy, and he would not have survived much longer. He's healthy, happy and very appreciatively loving now!!

Kathy, Thank you for taking in FIV strays! Hopefully Julie will warm up more to Gatsby. isPermaLink="false">http://joysblog.glassnebula.com/?p=1187#comment-267

Joy -
I love this story. I have a couple of feral cats myself. My little Gatsy was seriously wild and did not want to be close to people at all. He had a hurt foot (I think he was bitten by a raccoon), but I couldn't get close enough to look at it every good. He was very scrawny. He would eat canned food if I put in on the front porch so I got antiobiotics from the vet and put it in the food. His foot just didn't seem to improve. After a while, the vet wanted to see him in order to keep giving him meds, so my husband and I snuck up behind him, grabbed him and dropped him in a carrier. It turned out that he was an FIV+ kitten, so I put him in my basement, away from my other cats. He howled for a few days and wanted to bite and scratch, but after a while, he became part of the family. I went to a no-kill shelter and adopted Lily Marlene, another FIV+ cat to be his companion. They were very close and he is still upset that she passed away last year. They were together for 8 years.
Daisy was also outside and wild. We could never catch her. She got hit my a car in front of the house and my husband rescued her and took her to the vet. She was bleeding from the mouth and he thought she was seriously injured - internal bleeding and all that. Luckily, the car just knocked some teeth out. We have not have her for 10 years and she is a sweet little tortoise shell cat - but still a little feisty at times, particularly to the other cats.
I lost four of my cats within a year and I wasn't going to get any more, but Gatsby was very lonely without Lily Marlene, so I went back to the shelter for another FIV cat. Julie is not as friendly to Gatsby however. I have had her for about 10 months and at least they don't hiss at each other all the time now. I guess that's a start.
So that's my cat story of the day.

Joy -

I love this story. I have a couple of feral cats myself.
