I felt like correcting him &#8212; &#8220;Miss, thank you&#8221; but I didn&#8217;t. I put on a general salmon color over the whole interior, but then I mixed on some deep ruby and let that swirl around the salmon. I then added small opal white frit over the ruby. My cast glass pieces are usually in the 3/8-1/2 inch thick range, with the colors swirling through the entire depth of the piece. class="dropcaps">T</span>his beautiful green marble now has a home on the east coast. The setting is gorgeous letting the sun come in. We consciously made the choice to have our marbles be translucent, transparent in places rather than solid opaque, so that you could see through to the other side to get more intricate things going on in each, plus the light being able to shine through is just spectacular. I&#8217;m so happy this one has such a nice home with such loving people. It&#8217;s owned by an amazing artist who has quite a history of doing incredible work &#8211; Roy Scarfo and his wife, Carol. <span

class="dropcaps">T</span>his beautiful green marble now has a home on the east coast. The setting is gorgeous letting the sun come in. We consciously made the choice to have our marbles be translucent, transparent in places rather than solid opaque, so that you could see through to the other side to get more intricate things going on in each, plus the light being able to shine through is just spectacular. I&#8217;m so happy this one has such a nice home with such loving people. It&#8217;s owned by an amazing artist who has quite a history of doing incredible work &#8211; Roy Scarfo and his wife, Carol. <span

class="dropcaps">I</span> made my own gear yesterday!!  I&#8217;m so proud of it I could just burst.</p><p>A little background &#8211; I&#8217;m building on orrery (model of the solar system) for the astronomy department of a college in San Mateo, CA.  We&#8217;ve built similar things, but of course, every new project requires new skills and stuff that we&#8217;ve never done before. I found these Scrabble tiles with various images plastered on the front. The result I&#8217;m hoping for is to figure out which would be best for an upcoming children&#8217;s book that I&#8217;m writing. It has a lot of flowers and bunnies and such in it, but the simplistic, very muted colors that I see in most bunny children&#8217;s books just doesn&#8217;t do it for me. I want vivid, rich, beautiful, so I&#8217;m trying various things with these ACEOs to see what I like best for my new book. <span
